COMO NOS AFECTA EL CÁNCER A LOS CORDOBESES

9.000 personas por año desarrollan cáncer en Córdoba y cerca de 4.500 mueren por esta misma causa. Se ha elaborado un capítulo especial sobre mortalidad, además del detalle de la incidencia por departamento. Los datos corresponden al período 2004-2009. Tal como sucede a nivel internacional, el cáncer afecta fundamentalmente a adultos de edad avanzada. En nuestra provincia, solo el 1,1% de todos los casos se presentan en menores de 15 años. En tanto, el 45,4 % se manifiestan en mayores de 65 años. 
Los tumores más frecuentes en hombres fueron los de próstata, pulmón y colon, mientras que en las mujeres fueron mama, colon y pulmón.

The data cover the period 2004-2009. As it is the case internationally, cancer primarily affects older adults. In our province, only 1.1% of all cases occur in children under 15 years. La nueva sociedad ubicará su domicilio corporativo en Canadá. Burger King está sujeta a una tasa del 35% mientras que en Canadá es del 15%, pero aun así, Burger King mantendrá su sede en Oakville (Miami)



Burger King Worldwide es la segunda mayor cadena de restaurantes de comida rápida de EE.UU, y la tercera mayor compañía del sector a nivel mundial.

Pienso que Burger King ha comprado Tim Hortons por dos razones, la primera es para tener una competencia menos que le quite sus clientes, y la segunda para crecer y ser más grande aún y así obtener más beneficios.

I think Burger King has bought Tim Hortons for two reasons, the first is to have a competition unless you take away their customers, and the second to grow and become even bigger and get more benefits.

UNA NUEVA ERUPCIÓN

El volcán Dyngjujokull puede erupcionar en cualquier momento por eso Islandia cierra sus aeropuertos.

Pienso que es un volcán con gran actividad volcanica y que en Islandia se hace muy bien cerrando sus aeropuertos y sus carreteras para extremar la precaución de que vaya a erupcionar el volcán, ya que puede causar muchos daños. Ahora todos estamos a la espera de saber qué pasará.

EL MAYOR TERREMOTO EN CALIFORNIA

Hoy 24 de agosto ha ocurrido un terremoto en california que ha causado muchas víctimas desde el 1989.

Pienso que han sido pocas víctimas y que Estados Unidos es un país muy desarrollado con muchos medios para evitar las muertes que ha habido. Como es un país desarrollado a pesar de ser un gran terremoto no ha causado tanto daño ni tantas muertes ya que tiene edificios preparados para los terremotos y medios que avisan de cuando va a pasar un terremoto.

I think there have been few victims and that the United States of America is a highly developed country with many means to prevent deaths that took place. Un viaje que cambia la vida.

La hija de nuestra profesora de proyecto, Victoria, tuvo un viaje que le cambió su vida. Ella se fue a estudiar a Dublín, y se alojó en una familia como la niñera de sus 4 niños, ella estuvo con ellos 5 meses. Después cuando aprendió bien el inglés, ella trabajó en una farmacia durante 2 años. Hace dos semanas volvió a Córdoba y le ha encantado esta experiencia aunque los inconvenientes de irse allí era el idioma, el clima y ella echaba de menos a su familia. 

The daughter of our teacher project, Vicoria, was a journey that changed his life. She went to study in Dublin and stayed in a family as nanny of his 4 children, she was with them for five months. After she learned English well, she worked in a pharmacy for 2 years. Two weeks ago he returned to Córdoba and loved the experience but the inconvenience of going there was the language, climate and she missed her family.

LAS BALLENAS JOROBADAS

" Las ballenas jorobadas miden de 15 a 16 metros los machos, y las hembras de 16 a 17. El peso medio es de 40 t "

He querido hacer un post sobre ellas porque he visto un documental de cómo cazan y es espectacular.

Ya que son las únicas ballenas que cazan en grupos, y para ese tipo de caza hace falta una gran coordinación y mucha inteligencia. Solo 100 ballenas jorobadas en todo el mundo saben cazar en grupo.

Hay una ballena que es el líder que va primero antes que el resto, y va buscando el banco de peces, y las demás detrás suya de forma ordenada. Cuando el líder ve un banco de peces avisa a las demás y todos hacen un círculo de burbujas alrededor del banco de peces para rodearlos y que no se escapen, y así cegarlos. ¡¡¡Y que comience el festín!!!

I want to make a post about them because I've seen a documentary on how they hunt and it is spectacular. 
Because they are the only whales hunt in groups, and for that type of hunting they need a lot of coordination and intelligence. Only 100 humpback whales worldwide know how to hunt in groups. 
There is a whale that is the leader who goes first before the rest, and it goes looking for the school of fish, and the other behind him neatly. When the leader sees a school of fish and warns other all make a circle of bubbles around the school of fish to surround them and they don´t escape, and so blind them. And the feast begins!!!

Tiene 8.851 kilómetros de largo, desde la frontera con Corea al borde del río Yalu hasta el desierto de Gobi, aunque hoy solo se conserva el 30% de ella.

The Great Wall of China is an ancient fortification it built and rebuilt between the V century. C. and the XVI century (Early Modern) to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from attacks by the Xiongnu nomads of Mongolia and Manchuria. 

It has 8,851 km long, from the Korean border to the edge of the Yalu River to the Gobi Desert, although today only we retains 30% of it.



La Gran Muralla tiene fama de ser el mayor cementerio del mundo. Aproximadamente 10 millones de trabajadores murieron durante su construcción.
Los materiales usados son aquellos disponibles en los alrededores de la construcción. Cerca de Pekín se utilizó piedra caliza peron otros sitios se utilizó granito o ladrillo cocido.
